Use of Swear Words

There was a recent post on Facebook extolling the virtue of honesty on those who use swear words. This was Queenosabe's response.

The comment extolling the virtue of swearing must have been made at least fifty years ago. Nowadays, I firmly believe that people who use a lot of swear words have limited vocabulary. They use the same words beginning with the same consonant over and over. Swearing used to involve some creativity even to the point of including the ancestors of the recipient. Good creative swearing is beginning to be a lost art form. There is no longer even shock value.
